The oponia ucaster

It has been a pleasure working with Leigh Himel — fearless master of business — and Vanessa Williams — fearless architect — at oponia networks this year.

At oponia we have released ucaster, agent and instrument of hyper simple sharing. Download the app, run it, and start dragging files into regular desktop folders to begin sharing with the world. No uploads, no what’s my login, no FrontPage, no paying twice with time or money to share your digital life. Were everything this simple.

The tortured ways we’ve shared content in the years since the advent of the IBM compatible PC: floppies and the sneakernet, ftp, scp, email attachments, burned CDs, USB sticks, web publishing, shared drives, NFS. Every one commonplace and everyone yet another manual one-off or requiring An IT Guy. In the last quarter century, you’d think someone would have devised a better way. oponia has.

I drag. I drop. I share.
